This film captures the transformation of one of Mexico’s most cherished natural landmarks at a turning point in history. As Monterrey faces intensifying droughts, extreme heat, and worsening air pollution, Chipinque emerges not just as a refuge, but as an ecological lifeline—essential for water security, climate stability, and biodiversity.

More than a documentary, this is the official announcement of Chipinque’s reclassification—from a State Park to a Natural Reserve—a major milestone in the region’s commitment to long-term conservation.

Filmed over two weeks in the heart of the Sierra Madre, the piece brings to life a highly technical 100-year master plan through the voices of real park users, scientists, and citizens. Their stories ground complex environmental data in human experience, making the message accessible, urgent, and deeply emotional.
