Mondraker ambassador Jonna Johnsen is a Danish rider who overcame cancer through her hard work, her love of life, and her passion for cycling.

Jonna's story is not a conventional one. This Danish rider, born in 1992, started her cycling career in BMX and became both Danish and Scandinavian BMX Champion. After BMX, she tried her hand at Enduro and DH, where her participation in EWS and UCI DH World Cups in recent years has been her way of life ever since.

At a competition, she met Manuel, a Mexican rider who invited her to go on holiday to his country. There she fell in love with the country, and with him. Since 2019 she has been living in Mexico surrounded by mountain bikes. It was also there that she was diagnosed with cancer, which she overcame thanks to her will to live, Manuel’s support, and her passion for cycling.

An emotionally moving story, but at the same time one that brings strength to live life with intensity. Jonna shares her first-hand experience.
